According to federal investigators, the left engine to the aircraft just separated with the wing a few minutes after the plane left the Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville on Tuesday evening. It happened in the area around UPS Worldport, the global location of the aviation company where a large-scale explosion occurred and caused the fire to spread to nearby enterprises. According to the words of Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, first responders were also going to surveil the damage, but it was considered that the number of survivors could be extremely small. The plane was completely gutted down in the fire, and in its wake was a smouldering spot where the plane crashed.

Plane Caught Fire Midair

After a few seconds, the plane crashed down to the ground with a sharp impact that produced a massive explosion that could be seen across the city of Louisville.

Investigation Underway

NTSB has embarked on an in-depth enquiry on the cause of the engine detachment and the subsequent fire. According to Inman, it could take over 12 months to set up the root cause. The investigative staff will carefully inspect maintenance records, flight records, and the flight recorder, which despite the heat damage is intact.
