16 School children In Hardoi School Collapse Suspecting Gas Leak Investigation Underway.

Reference To Hindustan Times. Thursday, sixteen students entered into unconsciousness due to a suspected gas leak in a privately-owned school in the town of Sandila, Hardoi district. The concerned authorities have rushed the affected kids to two private hospitals and one of the students was later transferred to Lucknow where he received further treatment.

It was quickly noticed by the Chief minister Yogi Adityanath who ordered officials to provide enough medical attention and conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.

Powerful Smell Alarms Panic in School Campus.

Officials report that there was a strong and unusual smell that spread throughout the school premises and it led to panic among the students. Children ran out of their classes in terror, and teachers hurriedly vacated the rest of the children and notified parents and local police.

District magistrate, Anunay Jha and the head of the police, Ashok Kumar Meena arrived at the school soon after the incident and inquired the injured children at the hospitals.

Leak Source under investigation.

Reportedly, the leak could have been a result of the school laboratory and it is still not clear what the cause of the leak is. According to Jha, all the 16 students who were affected were stable. He even mentioned that one of the children has been sent to King George Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow.

The district administration has commissioned an official investigation and the authorities assured that severe measures will be taken once the source of the leak has been identified. Since the investigation continues, the authorities stressed that it should be their top priority to identify the chemical or gas that creates the odour.
