Investigation on the Red Fort Explosion.

The NIA has given preliminary evidence that the blast at the area surrounding Lal Quila Metro Station was a calculated terrorism. The explosion that took place on Monday shortly after 6.52 PM took the lives of ten people and injured more than twenty others, breaking one of the safest areas in the capital.

Detectives found live cartridges, several explosive tracts and signs of detonator in the shattered i20 car. They believe that the explosion could have been caused by a medical practitioner Dr. Umar Nabi who is associated with a multi-state white-collar terror organization in the process of ferrying the explosives.

DNA analysis has proved that biological evidence found at the car was belonging to the mother of Dr. Nabi and convincingly that he was at the crime scene.

The Government’s Stand

Prime minister Narendra Modi, after he was back in Bhutan, went to visit the injured and assured them of his full support. This was followed by a unanimous resolution by the Union Cabinet later that evening in which the act was described as a terror attack and reiteration of policy by India to have no tolerance to acts of terrorism.

Amit Shah made it very clear that the inquiry would take a logical conclusion in a short time and that everyone, who was either directly or indirectly involved, would suffer the harshest legal ramifications.
