Landslide in Himachal Pradesh Takes 15 Lives after the Bus was hit with massive debris near Bilaspur.

Reference to AP NEWS. Minimum of fifteen people were killed towards the end of Tuesday as an oversized debris caused by a huge landslide in the Bilaspur area of Himachal Pradesh hit a passenger bus. The car was passing a steep mountain road when soil and rock substance, which were washed loose by constant torrential rains, suddenly fell down the bus and some of the passengers got trapped.

The government said that the bus carried roughly twenty-five to twenty people when the accident occurred and led to the death of nine men, four women, and two children. Three wounded children were saved and taken to a local hospital to obtain the necessary medical attention.

Rescue Teams Scramble Over Laughing Ground and Rains.

Since the end of Tuesday night, the rescue operations are still in progress since the emergency personnel and local police are still searching to find more missing passengers. The unsettled slopes which have been enhanced by the rainy season have posed serious challenges to the rescuers trying to clear debris and reach potential victims who are under the rubble.

Based on a statement released by the office of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, it is attempting to offer medical aid and relief to the victims and their families as soon as possible. President Murmu also expressed his sympathy and commended the current rescue operation by the local government and recognized the unprecedented difficulties investigators had to go through in terms of the bad weather conditions.
