India Maritime Growth: PM Modi Highlights India’s Rise as a Global Force of Peace and Progress

Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister, declared transformative plans worth 2 lakh and 200 crores to bolster the Indian maritime industry, which reaffirm the increasing Indian stature in the world. Addressing Maritime Leaders Conclave Mumbai, the Prime Minister pointed out that India is developing swiftly in an attempt to reach new heights in shipbuilding and port productivity.

Underlining the major achievements within the sector, Mr. Modi indicated that Indian ports were currently ranked among the most productive ones in the developing world, surpassing a number of ports in the developed world. The Indian ports have made a record of loading the largest amount of cargo ever in their history and this is an indication of their increased capacity and a global standard management.

Big Investments and International Partnership.

The Prime Minister observed that some key projects and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) costing lakhs of crores were signed at the conclave. He noted that the presence of representatives of 85 countries in it highlights the international trust and a common vision on the maritime development. Mr. Modi believes that this partnership is a great sign of the increasing global trade and logistic powers of India.

Maritime Driving India to Growth.

By saying that the maritime industry contributes to the economic growth of India, Mr. Modi encouraged the players in the industry to use this momentum and growth. He pointed out that the shipping industry in India is developing at a speed that is unparalleled and highly innovative and robust, as a national pillar of work.

The Strength of India in Maritime Workforce.

Mr. Modi emphasized the increasing role of India in global manpower in the sea. In the last ten years, the Indian seafarers have increased more than twice, the figure of Indian seafarers has reached 3 lakh, a total of 1.25 lakh, nearly 3 lakh, makes India one of the top three countries in the world in terms of seafarers. This wave is an indication of the emphasis of the nation on the development of skills and global competitiveness.

India: Hope of stability in the face of uncertainty in the globe.

In the context of the world in general, the Prime Minister commented that at a time of international tension, economic turbulence, and supply chain transformation, India is a beacon of strategic independence, tranquility, and non-discriminatory development. He confirmed that the government was determined to ensure stability and cooperation in a world that was in economic and geopolitical difficulties.

The event was attended by the Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal, Shantanu Thakur and Kirti Vardhan Singh, Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
