Slippers and Stones thrown at Convoy of Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Sinha, RJD Alleged to have Planned Attack.

Refrence to News 18.   Lakhisarai, Bihar (November 6, 2025) -On Thursday, the first round of the state assembly polling in the Lakhisarai district of Bihar took place when the convoy of the Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha was attacked.

On-scene shots depict that a mob broke out in Khoriari village where a mob encircles the vehicle of Sinha flinging slippers, stones, and cow-dung and chanting Murdabad slogans. The staff police was present on the floor, and initially, they were not in a position to control the situation.

In one of the telephone interviews with the Superintendent of Police, Sinha demanded reinforcements at once and acted against the administration.

RJD Accused of Violence Incitement.

The Deputy CM blamed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of the attack alleging that the attack constituted a well thought-out tactic to sabotage the polling process. 

They are RJD goons, who depict hooliganism even prior to assuming power. They threatened my polling agent in the early mornings and they were not able to permit the voters to go to the booths, he said.

Violence at Phase 1 Bihar Polling.

The bloody incident occurred during a voting process that was being conducted in 121 constituencies in the first phase of the Bihar assembly election. Other police forces were deployed in the region in the aftermath of the incident to maintain order.

Later Sinha told press that the episode only shows that, once RJD returns to power Bihar will be back to jungle raj. He also contended that the local government did nothing to ensure that there were no such issues despite their complaints being raised on several occasions. 

My convoy was thrown about with slippers and rock and RJD personnel made an attempt to steal a voting booth. He will make a formal complaint to the Election Commission, he said.

RJD Reacts and Election Commission.

As a response to the case, the Bihar Additional Chief Electoral Officer Amit Kumar Pandey said that the poll panel had known about the incident. 

According to Pandey narrating the story to PTI, the CEO office has demanded a detailed report in events that transpired during the convoy attack and what has been accomplished so far.

Meanwhile, the RJD head Mrityunjay Tiwari, came out to deny the allegations that law and order had been hampered in the state under the incumbent regime. 

The legal and order system is killed to death. Tiwari claimed that the administration has failed to make the polling safe.

The incident has also caused political tension in the state of Bihar where each side has blamed each other even in a critical election era.
