What started as an Accident Becomes a Murder Case to Chill.
Reference to India today. In a twist to the story, Bengaluru Police has apprehended a couple who were alleged to have killed a delivery agent intentionally following a minor road fight. It happened on the night of October 25 in the Sri Rama Temple area, and the incident that seemed to be a tragic accident at first.

The victim, Darshan and his friend Varun were both riding on their two-wheeler when they were hit by a speeding car behind them at around 11:30 pm. Darshan died on the spot whereas Varun was seriously injured. Initially, the case was reported as an accidental death in the JP Nagar Traffic Police Station.
But when the investigators decided to watch the CCTV footage, they found something much more shocking. In the video, it was revealed that the car had willfully trailed behind and rammed the two-wheeler, which showed that the act was planned and it was not accidental. The case was therefore relicensed to murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
Fight in the Matter of a Shattered Mirror.
As DCP (South) Lokesh Jagalasur puts it, the chain of events started as the bike of Darshan bumped into the car of a couple and broke the side mirror of his car. The driver, who was a physical education teacher known as Manoj Sharma, became enraged, reversed his vehicle, pursued the bike and rammed into it intentionally. Aarti his wife was also in the car when the incident occurred.
Attempt to Destroy Evidence
Trying to hide the crime, the couple came to the place later that night with their masks. Their aim was to hide the evidence and deceive investigators by taking apart the parts of a car.
Law Enforcement and Criminal Prosecution.
After the CCTV disclosure, Manoj and Aarti Sharma were immediately arrested by the police. They were taken before court and are currently charged with murder and evidence destruction. The investigation is still taking place with the authorities still trying to reconstruct the chain of events leading to the fatal collision.
